Alkaline water purifiers are essential devices for improving water quality and regulating water pH. Their performance and safety directly impact user health. To ensure product quality meets standards, they undergo a rigorous, systematic testing process.

Appearance and structural inspections are the primary steps in the testing process. Technicians must confirm that the purifier's housing is intact and properly sealed, that the connectors and filter cartridge are securely installed, and that labeling (such as model, specifications, and instructions) is clear and complete.

Functional testing focuses on verifying the purifier's ability to generate alkaline water. By injecting raw water (typically tap water with a pH of 7.0-7.5), the effluent pH is tested to ensure it remains stable within the 8.0-9.5 range (meeting alkaline water standards). The ORP (oxidation-reduction potential) is also monitored to ensure it meets the antioxidant requirements (generally <-200mV). A flow rate test verifies that the purifier's output meets the specified value (e.g., 1-2L/min) at various pressures.

Safety testing covers electrical safety (for models with live electrical connections) and material safety. Electrical components are tested for leakage current, insulation resistance, and dielectric strength. Non-electrical components focus on testing water-related components (such as filter housings and piping) for harmful emissions. For example, immersion tests are performed to verify that the release of heavy metals (such as lead and cadmium) is below national standards.

Durability and stability testing simulates long-term use. During continuous operation for at least 72 hours, pH decay and filter life are observed, and failure rates are recorded. Some tests also simulate extreme water quality (such as high hardness) to assess anti-interference capabilities.

Finally, the test report summarizes all data and determines whether the product meets standards. Only alkaline water purifiers that pass comprehensive testing can ensure their effectiveness, safety, and reliability, providing users with high-quality, healthy drinking water solutions.
